Troubleshoot Your Paper Shoot Camera

If you're having trouble with your Paper Shoot Camera, you've come to the right place! While there is a possibility the camera could malfunction, it typically comes down to an SD card or a battery error. We will help you determine what the issue is so you can get back to shooting.

Quick Fixes

My Camera Keeps Taking Photos

This indicates a low battery. If you are not using rechargeable batteries, please switch to rechargeable batteries. We reccommend Bonai AAA rechargeable batteries.

If you already are using rechargeable batteries, please charge them by plugging your camera into a portable charger or an outlet over night.

Camera Is Making An Error Noise

Good news! If the camera is making an error noise, it means it is functioning, it is either a battery or an SD card error.

Please take note which LED light flashes when the error noise occurs.

Right LED light: Problem with the batteries
Both LED lights: Problem with the batteries

My Camera Is Flashing

This indicates a low battery. If you are not using rechargeable batteries, please switch to rechargeable batteries. We reccommend Bonai AAA rechargeable batteries.

If you already are using rechargeable batteries, please charge them by plugging your camera into a portable charger or an outlet over night.

My Camera Is Not Responding At All

If you have verified you are using fully charged, rechargeable batteries. Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Remove the batteries from your camera but leave SD card inside
Step 2: Plug your camera into a power source (must be a portable charger or a wall outlet, not your computer)
Step 3: Put the colour filter setting on the back to the first setting
Step 4: Click the shutter button

If your camera works while plugged in, this means your camera is not being supplied with enough power from your batteries. Please charge, or use a new set of rechargeable batteries.

My Photos Are Blurry

Please ensure you remove the sticker that is placed on the camera lens.

If you are using the Micro/Macro lens and your photos are blurry, this is because this lens is meant for close up shots of only a couple inches away from the subject. If you take photos from further away it will be blurry and out of focus

I Can't Access My Photos On My SD Card

Please restart your computer & then format your SD card to the following settings.

Battery Issue

If the right light or both lights are flashing, this is usually indicative of a battery issue. Please make sure the batteries are high-quality AAA rechargeable batteries and that they are fully charged. We recommend energizer rechargeable batteries for your Paper Shoot. If the batteries are still not working, take them out and plug the camera into a power source. Make sure the camera is on the first photo filter and try to take photos this way. If the camera starts working, it’s a battery issue. If you still can’t take photos, then it’s a manufacturing issue and we can send you a new camera.

SD Card Issue

If the left light is blinking and the error noise is going off when you’re trying to take a picture, there’s usually an issue with the SD card. Make sure the SD card is properly inserted and that it isn’t full. If it is, all you need to do is empty the pictures and videos you’ve taken, and you’re all set to continue using the SD card. If you can’t see your pictures, we suggest you reformat your SD card. Here’s a quick on how to do that.
